Reclaiming My Sexuality While Being Hyper-sexualized

  • Bowie State University (map)

This is a workshop for women of color to unlearn harmful narratives that are rooted in racial and gender oppression, reimagine our sexualities in ways that are empowering, and move towards sexual equity in our personal and professional lives. This workshop will be offered in the morning and afternoon at the Maryland Women of Color Network Conference.

On November 8, 2019, the Maryland Women of Color Network, a program of the Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MCASA), is holding its 14th annual statewide sexual violence prevention conference at Bowie State University. Sponsored by MCASA and the Maryland Department of Health, the conference attendees include multi-disciplinary professionals and community leaders who are engaged in prevention work. The title and theme of the conference is Hope: Navigating the Future Without Violence.
